DA Calculation Sheet

DA Calculation Sheet: The DA for Central Government Employees was earlier calculated based on the consumer price index with the base year 2001. The Central Government replaced it with a new consumer price index with the base year 2016 to calculate the DA from September 2020.

  3. As is the practice in recent times,cpi (iw) Junehas not been announced on 31 July 2024.
    In any case it is likely to increase by +or minus 0.5 the current cpi( iw) being 139.9.Therefore in either case the the D A increase would be 3 % only.

  5. At this rate da rise as per cpi iw we may miss 3 per cent rise by a whisker ! Cpi iw for June may end up at 55.99 ,robbing us getting 3 percent. If this happens, it is really sad and we have to blame our stars !

  9. 3% D.A WIIL BE THERE FROM JULY2024 BECAUSE GOCT HAVE INCREASED HOUSE RENT BY 2%. GIFT GIVEN . SO REDUCED THE AICPI .3% d.a will be there.one way given and by other hand taken. Businessmen of india

  11. 7 CPC DA w.e.f. 1.7.2024 will be 54% old DA 50+4=54%

  13. Unable to settle the Leave salary and gratuity on separations, due to non availability of DA rate.
    Any reason why the govt not yet announced the AICPIN data?

  15. GOVT NOT IN MODE TO DECLARE AICPI BECAUSE PRICE HIKE IS MORE AND INDEX BEING LESS. DUE TO ELECTION ITS NOT BE DECLARING

  16. Definitely da will be 53 percent for this six months period and three percent DA will be announced in September 24

  17. Why IGE corner has stopped updating on aicpin since February 2024 ? It is very informative for govt employees with regard to DA. It is therefore requested to continue the practice in the interest of employees.

  18. Aicpi iw for March 2024 also has fallen due by 30th April. This fig.also is not released. I believe that central govt has taken a policy decision not to reveal Aicpi iw indices to avoid agitatation by cg employees and pensioners to raise da/ dr in view of rise in cpi iw. Please comment on my views.

  19. It is most unfortunate that data on cpi iw is not published in time..Hope Govt servants who are affected by this should not keep this in mind in this election time,because the performance of the govt otherwise is progressive!.

  20. How come release of Aicpi iw numbers are still due ? Did govt take a decision to discontinue this practice ? Kindly clarify.
