National Anomaly Committee for disability pension for Defence Forces Personnel

The 1st meeting of the National Anomaly Committee was held on 01.12.2016 on the anomaly of calculation of the disability pension for Defence Forces Personnel as per the recommendations of the 7th CPC. The representative of the Armed Forces made a presentation in the meeting demanding that the recommendations of the 7th CPC to grand disability pension on a slab system if implemented will lead to an anomaly between the civilian side and the Defence Forces Personnel because the civilian side will continue to be governed under a percentage based system. After studying the presentation, the Staff Side of NC-JCM has suggested that the slab system will be beneficial to the lower Rank personnel and hence both the slab system and percentage system may be accepted by the Govt. on an optional basis, alternatively the slab amount recommended by 7th CPC can be increased to avoid the anomalous situation. Secretary (P) informed that the issue would be further studied in consultation with CGDA.

  1. Sir,
Anomaly Grievance Committee set up to finalise anomaly in disability penson of ex-servicemen/servicemen has been delibrately delayed,
I request to relevant committee to finalise the said committee either pension is being paid either in slab system or in percentage system.

    With regards.

  2. Whether slab system or percentage basis system but finalise it earliest. Unnecessarily delay resulting financial loss

  3. army officers are not serious about welfare of PBOR and a govt is never serious about soldiers. except gaining cheap popularity over army episodes like surgical strike etc shame on the two defence officers as well as the Govt ruling no one wants to a soldier to lead happy life that why a series of injustice is is being cause to them

  4. The decision of the National Anomalies Committee to finalise the issue based on discussion with CGDA is most unfortunate since the decision to introduce Slab system has been taken based on ill intended advise of the CGDA.. How the hell one expects them to be fair with uniformed personals. The analysis of the disadvantage of the Slab system is very well explained by the Service’s representative and now rather than providing much needed relief to the Armed Forces pensioners, a drama is being enacted to show the public that it has been discussed with the stake holders?
The Government seems to be in hypocrite mode …??
