DA Calculation Sheet: The DA for Central Government Employees was earlier calculated based on the consumer price index with the base year 2001. The Central Government replaced it with a new consumer price index with the base year 2016 to calculate the DA from September 2020.

Its tooo late to declare the jan2012 DA
March 16 most probably, since meeting to decide the same is scheduled on 15th march
When will the govt announce DA for jan 2012?
AICPIN for January 2012 = 198
Athough DA hike from Jan 2012 should be 10% but it is seen from the sheet that increase is only 7%.
Hike in DA is calculated by AIPIN which is quiet illogical because commodities included in AIPIN are fixed and actual increse in basic price of daily use households are not taken into consideration.either price should be stagnated or DA should be calculated wisely .
DA should be increase minimum 10%.becousse rate daily using items are increased by more than 30%
DA 9% is abslutely right.
Though the central pay commission has taken full care of pensioners of central govt. employees, but as compared with the certain state govt. decisions the pensioners are benifitted in such a way that they feel in more comfortable position as compared with central govt.pensioners (though the serving condition of central govt. employees is very difficult as compared with the state govt. employees). Take the case of Punjab govt. pensioners, they get a rise in basic pension @ 5% of their basic pension at the age of 65 years and their after rise of 5% after every five years, more over they get LT C (equal to their basic pension
)after every two years unconditionally, they may perform journey or not.The medical allowance to Punjab pensioners is Rs.500/- per month where as the central govt. pensioners get Rs.300/- per month as medical allowance.
Though central govt. has sanctioned 20% rise in the pension at the age of 80 years, which is a very wise step from the point of view of taking care of pensioners by their kins, but the pensioners could hardly enjoy the benefit of such rise in their pension. In my considered opinion a rise of 5% after every five years in their pension will actually benefit them, and their wish to live long will be generated. The sanction of LTC equal to their basic pay after every two years and enhanced medical allowance will make their living easy.
Hope for a favorable response in this connection.
comments have already given by me.
As per AICPIN of Dec 2011 the new DA wef Jan 2012 would be 7% it is sure
no news.nobody is thinking about it,we all the pensioners are only concerned about % of da .we should move for merger of da . increment on basic pension, addl pension from the yr following the yr of retirement medical facility %of da at higher rate from the . service holder
Is there any news what about the dearness relief merger with basic pension.
DR T PAVAN KUMAR is it posiible for any pensioner to run from here to there for reimbrusment for amount incurred by them for medical treatment every time?they should get card for treatment, yes yearly limit should be there, pensioners are now very helpless nobody is there to help them,at the age of 70 yrs /80yrs/ 90yrs who will run for getting that amount?please think about it,Iam wating for your suggesion please
minimum 6% and maximum 8% d.a. from January 2012
da jan 2012 is 9% hona chahiye
At present the market inflation is very high. In my opinion DA should be increased @ 8% with effect from Jan 2012.
whats the meaning of additional? some one pls clear to me..
retail price to be considered for price index calculation it will reflect the exact effect price inflation on consumers
Since AICPIN is received for all the 12 months i.e. upto Dec.11 now it is clear that the DA due for central staff is @ 7% w.e.f. January, 2012.
