DA Calculation Sheet: The DA for Central Government Employees was earlier calculated based on the consumer price index with the base year 2001. The Central Government replaced it with a new consumer price index with the base year 2016 to calculate the DA from September 2020.

Indian gov. need to hike the DA rate by 9 to 10% in this financial year from January it will help to all employees to maintain their monthly house expenses on food,cloths,child education and on other expenses.

Pre-2006 Pensioners who got voluntary retirement after 20 years service shold also be given full Pension as is the case of Post-2006 Pensioners, because all other benefits like D.A., Medical Allowance, increase of Pension after 80-100 Years of age etc. are same for all categories of Pensioners. Then why Pre-2006 Pensioners are singled out in respect of length of service after voluntary retirement?

As the cost is rising without any comma, so I think hike in DA will be at least 9%
the da for jan 2012 will be 8% if index increases by 1.44%, if not then da will be 7% sure.
DA SHOULD BE INCREASE UPTO 12% BUT PAY COMMISION SHOULD BE BANED BECAUSE GOVT ALSO GIVE TWO TIME INCREMENT AS A DA IN A YEAR.
Due to high inflation level a minimum of 10@ DA hike is needed w.e.f.1.1.2012.
The essential commodities like milk, vegetables and other food articles prices have increased considerably in the recent past. The common man are most affected because of food inflation, The is need for increase in the rates of DA for 10% w.e.f.1.1.2012 to compensate the price rise.
