Subject:- Implementation of Biometric Attendance System in ESIC.

Sir/Madam,
As per the Government of India contained in DOPT O.M.NO.11013/9/2014-Estt. dated 21st November, 2014, Biometric Attendance System has to be implemented in ESIC. Aadhar based Biometric system has already been successfully put in place in Hqrs. office.
All field Units are directed to take necessary steps to put in place Biometric Attendance System at the earliest. Devices may be procured as per the procedure through DGS&D Rate contract. The Action Taken Report in this regard must reach Hqrs. before 30.06.2015. For all the necessary guidance regarding implementation of BAS, website attendance.gov.in may be visited.
Further, introduction of Biometric Attendance System does not in any way alters the provision for late attendance and debiting of leave account and instruction issued on this subject shall apply on new system also.
This has the approval of Addl. Commissioner (P&A).
