Maintenance of Data of Central Government Employees

Will the Minister of
PERSONNEL, PUBLIC GRIEVANCES AND PENSIONS be pleased to state:-
(a) whether Ministry provide the complete data of all Central Government employees across all departments of Central Government;
(b) if so, the total number and total salary expenditure thereof during 2014- 2019 and the department-wise break-up thereof; and
(c) the exact numbers of employment generation during 2014-2019 in all Central Government departments?

(a) & (b): Total number of Central Government employees as on 01.03.2014, 01.03.2015, 01.03.2016 and 01.03.2018 is at Annexure-I,II,III & IV. The salary expenditure of Central Government employees during the five i.e. 2013-14 to 2017-18, is at Annexure-V.
(c): Number of sanctioned posts in Central Government as on 01.03.2014 and 01.03.2018 was 36,45,584 and 38,02,779 respectively, showing an increase in sanctioned strength by 1,57,195.
