New 7th Pay Commission Pre-2016 Pension Calculator as per Order Date 12.05.2017
The 7th Pay Commission recommended two type of options (Option 1 & Option 2) to calculate the pension for central government pensioners. On 4th August 2016 DOPPW released Resolution No. 38/37/2016-P&PW (A), which given instruction to use only second formulation (option 2, i.e. 6th CPC pension x 2.57)
Government formed Committee headed by a Secretary, Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare to check the feasibility of the first option recommended by 7th CPC. The Committee has submitted its Report and the recommendations made by the Committee have been considered by the Government.
Government decided to introduce by notionally fixing their pay in the pay matrix recommended by the 7th CPC as well as DOPPW Committee & released the OMÂ NO.38/37/2016-P&PW(A) on 12.05.2017
50% of the notional pay as on 01.01.2016 shall be the revised pension
30% of this notional pay shall be the revised family pension w.e.f. 1.1.2016 as per the first Formulation.

On balance, Modi Govt. did far more HARM than good to the PRE-1996 PENSIONERS by DENIAL OF 7th CPC OPTION 1. AGED 82 YEARS, GOVT. CANNOT DENY OPTION 1 UNDER SILLY PRETEXT THAT IT IS NOT FEASIBLE TO LOCATE SERVICE RECORDS FOR INCREMENTS EARNED AT THE TIME OF RETIREMENT. PPO HAS THE SCALE OF PAY AND LAST PAY DRAWN AT THE TIME OF RETIREMENT WHICH COULD BE HANDY FOR CALCULATING THE INCREMENTS EARNED THEN.
MORE THAN THAT, SERVICE RECORDS OF RETIRED EMPLOYEES CANNOT BE DESTROYED AS PER GOVT’S OWN RULING. HOW COME MODI GOVT COULD UNDERMINE ITS OWN RULING?
MODI GOVT IS JUST FOOLING THE PRE 1996/2006 PENSIONERS. IT IS TIME THAT ALL PRE 1996/2006 PENSIONERS MUST COME TOGETHER THRO RSCWS TO FILE A CASE IN SC. ONLY THEN GOVT WOULD DO GOOD.
