Subject: Clarification regarding applicability of Rule 56(4) of CCS (Leave) Rules, 1972- reg.
The undersigned is directed to refer to the subject cited above regarding the applicability of Clause 56(4) of CC S (Leave) Rules, 1972 and say that the matter has been examined in the light of the clarification received from the Leave & Allowance Division, DoP&T.
2. It has been clarified that the provision contained in Clause 56(4), regarding adjustment of the amount received as scholarship/ stipend/remuneration in respect of part-time employment against the Leave Salary payable, is applicable to Study Leave availed both within India and outside India.
3. This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority.
