Arunachal govt employees to get additional 6 per cent DA

The Arunachal Pradesh government has decided to release an additional 6 per cent Dearness Allowance (DA) for its employees and pensioners with effect from January this year."Keeping in view the rising costs of daily living and the consequent hardships experienced by the employees, the government has decided to increase the DA to 51 per cent from the existing 45 per cent which, will cost the state exchequer a total of Rs 84.10 crore," state Finance Minister Kalikho Pul said in a statement today.While holding that the financial position of the state can improve only when all categories of government officers and officials sustain efforts in enhancing the revenue, howsoever negligible the amount may be, he said that no government can manage the finances effectively only by spending."Rather we have to steadily achieve self-reliance in finance by increasing our own revenue," Pul pointed out.Pul also informed that the government is considering sorting out stipend problems of the students by creating a separate head of expenditure and separate allocation so that monthly payment of stipends can be made to ensure smooth procurement of ration."Numerous poor students who are unable to pay their hostel dues will stand benefited under the new system and education as a whole will get boost in the state," he said.The government is also actively considering providing stipends to students of class one to five of upgraded fourth standard to upper primary schools who are deprived of the facility after upgrading.

Clarification on increase in certain allowances by 25% as a result of enhancement of DA w.e.f. 1.1.2011

a) The annual ceiling limit for reimbursement of Children Education Allowance shall be Rs.15,000/- per child. Accordingly, the quarterly claim could be more than Rs.3750/- in one quarter and less than Rs.3750/- in another quarter subject to the annual ceiling of Rs.15,000/- per child and Hostel Subsidy shall be Rs.3750/- per month per child;

Himachal Pradesh Govt declares 6% Dearness Allowance to Govt Employees – GO

In continuation of this Department's OM of even number dated the 27th January, 2011, the Governor, Himachal Pradesh, is pleased to enhance Dearness Allowance from the existing rate of 45% to 51% with effect from 01.01.2011 in respect of the employees of the State Government. 2. This additional Dearness Allowance of 6% (6 percent) shall be paid in cash with the salary of April, 2011 payable in the month of May, 2011 and the arrears accrued from 01.01.2011 to 31.03.2011 shall be credited to the GPF account of the employees. The interest on this account shall accrue w.eJ. 01.05.2011.

Rate of Dearness Allowance applicable w.e.f. 01.01.2011 to the employees of Central Government and Central Autonomous Bodies continuing to draw their pay in the...

The rates of Dearness Allowance admissible to the above categories of employees of Central Government and Central Autonomous bodies shall be enhanced from the existing rate of 103% to 115% w.e.f. 01.01.2011. All other conditions as laid down in the O.M. dated 3rd October, 2008 will continue to apply.

Haryana Government increases DA for state govt employees to 51 %

Haryana Finance Minister Ajay Singh Yadav today announced to enhance the rate of Dearness Allowance (DA) payable to the State Government employees from existing 45 to 51 per cent and it would be given in cash with effect from January 1, 2011. Yadav said an increase of six per cent has been made in the dearness allowance of Haryana Government employees on the pattern of central Government employees. He said that by giving the dearness allowance from January 1, 2011, the state exchequer would bear a burden of Rs 30 crore per month and Rs 420 crore up to the close of next financial year.

TN – 6% Dearness allowance to Tamilnadu Government Employees – Government Order

In the Government Order first read above, orders were issued sanctioning revised rate of Dearness Allowance to State Government employees as detailed below:- 2.The Government of India in its Office Memorandum second read above has now enhanced the Dearness Allowance to its employees from 45% to 51% with effect from 1st January, 2011. 3.Following the orders issued by the Government of India, the Government sanction the revised rate of Dearness Allowance to the State Government employees as indicated below:- 4. The Government also direct that the above increase in Dearness Allowance shall be paid in cash with effect from 01.01.2011. 5. The payment of arrears of Dearness Allowance for the months of January and February, 2011 shall not be made before the date of disbursement of salary of March, 2011. While working out the revised Dearness Allowance, fraction of a rupee shall be rounded off to next higher rupee if such fraction is 50 paise and above and shall be ignored if it is less than 50 paise. 6. The Government also direct that the revised Dearness Allowance sanctioned above, shall be admissible to full time employees who are at present getting Dearness Allowance and paid from contingencies at fixed monthly rates. The revised rates of Dearness Allowance sanctioned in this order shall not be admissible to part time employees. 7. The revised Dearness Allowance sanctioned in this order shall also apply to the teaching and non-teaching staff working in aided educational institutions, employees under local bodies, employees governed by the University Grants Commission/All India Council for Technical Education scales of pay, the Teachers/Physical Directors/Librarians in Government and Aided Polytechnics and Special Diploma Institutions, Village Assistants in Revenue Department, Noon Meal Organisers, Child Welfare Organisers, Anganwadi Workers, Cooks, Helpers, Makhal Nala Paniyalar, Panchayat Assistants/Clerks in Village Panchayat under Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department. 8.The expenditure shall be debited to the detailed head of account `03. Dearness Allowance' under the relevant sub-minor, submajor and major heads of account. 9.The Treasury Officers / Pay and Accounts Officers shall make payment of the revised Dearness Allowance when bills are presented without waiting for the authorization from the Principal Accountant General (A&E) Tamil Nadu, Chennai-18

Payment of Dearness Allowance to Railway employees

The President is pleased to decide that the Dearness Allowance payable to Railway employees shall be enhanced from the existing rate of 45% to 51% with effect from 1st January, 2011.

Dearness Allowance for January 2011 – Government Order

Payment of Dearness Allowance to Central Government employees - Revised Rates effective from 1.1.2011. --------------- The undersigned is directed to refer to this Ministry's Office Memorandum No. 1(6)/2010-E-II(B) dated 22 September,2010 on the subject mentioned above and to say that the President is pleased to decide that the Dearness Allowance payable to Central Government employees shall be enhanced from the existing rate of 45% to 51% with effect from 1St January, 2011.

Govt approves 6% hike in DA

The government today increased dearness allowance (DA) by 6 per cent to 51 per cent, benefiting over 50 lakh central government employees and 38 lakh pensioners. "The decision to hike DA was taken by the Union Cabinet at its meeting here," a Union minister said. The combined impact of the hike will be Rs 5,715.90 crore per annum. However in the next financial year, the burden on the exchequer would be Rs 6,668.52 crore after the additional 6 per cent DA payout is factored in from January 1 to March 31 this year. The increased DA, which will be effective from January 1, is provided to government staff and pensioners to compensate them for rising prices. Presently, the DA is paid at 45 per cent of basic pay.The increase in DA by 6 per cent would be in accordance withthe formula prescribed by the Sixth Pay Commission for central government employees.
