DA Calculation Sheet

DA Calculation Sheet: The DA for Central Government Employees was earlier calculated based on the consumer price index with the base year 2001. The Central Government replaced it with a new consumer price index with the base year 2016 to calculate the DA from September 2020.

  5. Sure 7% DA from 1st July 2014. DA merger is not possible because already our allowances increased by 50% as per 6th CPC. No use of asking for DA merger. We should understand government policy is for the welfare of citizens. Instead Central government employees can ask for other welfare measures and benefits. For instance, the new pension scheme can be revoked and the old family pension can be reinstated. What are the employees unions doing? They can take some strong measures towards this. Children education allowance can be extended upto college level (ie. upto tertiary education level). Compassionate employment on immediate basis for the concerned family member, Compulsory medical insurance for all CGE and their families can also be demanded. Instead of asking for merger of DA we need to think out of the box and try to get more social security and other monetary benefits on par with developed nations like UK, Spain, Swiss, US and others where government employees and pensioners enjoy a lovely status in all respects.

  6. Sure 7% DA from 1st July 2014. DA merger is not possible because already our allowances increased by 50% as per 6th CPC. No use of asking for DA merger.

  7. any news on lift of ban on recruitment in central government (lifting of austerity measures posed on Sep, 2013

  8. As per 6th pay commission recommendation, DA merger is not recommended. Pay commission has recommended increase of allowances by 25% after 50% DA increase. We all should understand this fact instead of making unwanted pressure on Gov.
Less increase in price index, causing lesser DA amount, is good and healthy for country. We should appreciate this improvement in economy.
