Sub: Revised pay limits for entitlement of Passes/PTOs on the basis of Pay drawn in the Railway Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2008.
Consequent upon revision of Pay Scales on the basis of decision of the Government on the recommendations of the 6th Central Pay Commission, the question of revision of existing entitlements to Passes/PTOs under the Railway Servants (Pass) Rules, 1986 (Second Edition, 1993) has been under consideration of this Ministry.
2. The matter has been examined and the President is pleased to decide that the entitlements of Passes/PTOs in respect of railway servants drawing pay in the Railway Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2008 shall be as under :-

*Note:In terms of the extant instructions, the holder of IInd Class ‘A’ pass shall be entitled to travel by AC-3 tier class in trains other than Rajdhani/Shatabdi/Duronto Exp. trains. IInd Class ‘A’ Pass is of yellow colour.
3. In all other respects, the provisions of the Railway Servants (Pass) Rules, 1986(Second Edition, 1993) will apply.
4. The Railway employees who are already entitled to Ist Class Passes, shall continue to draw Ist Class Passes, irrespective of their eligibility in terms of these orders.
5. Necessary amendment to the Railway Servants (Pass) Rules, 1986 (Second Edition,1993) shall follow.
6. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.

Sir mein ye janna chata hu ki mujhe abhi ek saal mein ek hi pass milta hai wo bhi 3rd A.c. Yellow pass. Duty card pass mujhe second class sleeper ka milta hai jabki duty pass rules k anusar group C or D ko jis category ka privilege pass milta same class duty milta hai. Kya ye baat sahi hai sir. Mujhe confirm kar di jiye plz. Pass department wale bolte hai rules mat padao letter le kar so.
pls clarify pass rule for 1800 gr pay employee,, which not complete 3 yer sevice get 3 tiar ac pass
hello sir i am working in railway copmlited 2year service as pointman at gr pay1800 ,, my question is i will get 3 tier ac pass or not pls reply because my depatment not issu that.. and other dep get facilated that pls reply soon

i am working as a Sr.Clerk in S.E.Rly sir, i want to know the PTO rules about Rs 2800 grade pay I had applied a PTO of IInd Class ‘a’ but they had given me actually Second class sleeper , they told me no clear instructions about the PTO of grade pay 2800

As per existing rule, you are eligible for First Class Privilege Passes/P.T.O. Please see RBE No.6/2011,Rly. Bd’s L.No.PC-5/09/ACP/2 Dated 12.01.2011

Sir,
I am working in Central Railway in Mumbai Division as OS. G.P.Rs.4200/-. Vide Ministry of Railway L.No. E(W)2008/PS 5-1/38 New Delhi, the 6th January, 2011, I am eligible for First Class privilege pass/P.T.O & also Duty Pass. But in this order not mentioned for eligibility of “FREE RESIDENTIAL CARD PASS”. Am I entitle for FRC ? Please provide information, because office has refuse to give FRC to me.
