IGNOU launches course for central government staff

A new course for government employees in the country was launched Thursday by the Indira Gandhi National Open University ( IGNOU) and the training division of department of personnel and training (DoPT), an official said. The new programme is called 'Distance and E-Learning Programme for Government Employees' (DELPGE) for which a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between IGNOU and the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions and the DoPT.

Grant of TA/DA and payment of special allowance

. Grant of special allowance. Dy. Directors/Wardens etc. Keeping in view the Special Allowance of Rs.4000/- prescribed for Pro- Vice Chancellor, Ministry has suggested vide it is letter dated 9th March,2010 that the Dy. Directors may be paid a monthly special allowance of Rs.4000/- per month. Accordingly, it has been felt that the honorarium for Deans, Wardens etc. may be suitably revised keeping in view the existing norms. Accordingly, honorarium/special allowances in respect of Dy. Directors, Deans, Wardens etc. will be as under:-

In continuation to this Ministry's letter of even number dated 9th September, 2010 on the aforesaid subject, it is clarified that the orders do not apply to the Assitt. Registrars and Dy. Registrars, who would be governed by the pay-scales as indicated in para 9 of this Ministry's letter No. 23-1/2008-TS.II, dated 18th August, 2009.

I am directed to refer to this Department's order of even dated 25th May 2010 on the subject mentioned above. Representations were received requesting that the minimum pension of pre-2006 ie. pensioners who retired prior to 01.01.2006 should be at least 50% of entry pay prescribed for each level in the relevant pay band plus the Grade Pay.

Distance & E-Learning Programmes for Central Government Employees

Department of Personnel and Training and Indira Gandhi National Open University have come together and signed a MoU for offering Distance & E- Learning Programmes to Central Government employees. The Central Government employees can now enrol for a wide spectrum of Distance & E-Learning Programmes offered by IGNOU and get their fees reimbursed on successfully completing the programmes.

Age of superannuation in respect of Physical Educational Personnel of IIT

The matter was examined in the Ministry and it is clarified that the age of superannuation of only those pasts of Physical Educational Personnel in IITs, carrying the pay scale of Rs.37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs.10.000/-, if any. will be 62 years, subject to their possessing qualification and experience as prescribed by UGC for the post of Director of Physical Education from time to time. For all other posts with Grade pay less than Rs.10,OO0/-, the age of superannuation will be 60 years.
