DA Calculation Sheet: The DA for Central Government Employees was earlier calculated based on the consumer price index with the base year 2001. The Central Government replaced it with a new consumer price index with the base year 2016 to calculate the DA from September 2020.

As per latest labour bureau indidcations of inflation, If the trend of inflation continues in the same way, further DA w.e.f. 1.1.2013 is not below 9% i.e., 81%.
It is a setback for all those persons who were expecting more than 7% DA. May God give them enough courage to bear this setback. As I had already mentioned in the previous statements that da from july’12 would be 7%, but some persons differ with me. Now those persons should ponder for their statement and listen to my statement carefully before making any statement in near future.
The way in which the DA rates are calculated appears to be strange as may be seen from the data given below:-
12/09 169 points
6/10 174 ” (5) 10% DA rise
12/10 185 ” (11) 6% DA rise
6/11 189 ” (4) 7% DA rise
12/11 197 ” (8) 7% ”
6/12 208 ” (11) 7% ”
Knowledgeable people may please throgh light on this apparent anomaly.
Aicpin has increased from 206 to 208 points. There is 2 points increase over May 2012. So, my dear friends, d.a. will be 7%.
DA MAY BE SANCTIONED AT LEAST 9% WEF JUL 12. IT MAY BE SANCTIONED IN SLAB BASIS LIKE PAY COMMISSION OF 1986, FOR EXAMPLE:
PAY BAND 1 AND 2– 10%
PAY BAND 3 — 7%
PAY BAND 4 — 5%
In view of the technology improvement, the AICPIN data may be released immediately after the close of every month. It should not be prolonged for a full month to announce.
only one day left to know the da from 1st july, it will be about 7%, hope it should increase
the expected from july 2012 is 7% only for according aicpin
da s calculated as per existing norms which indicates that only 7 % da will be increased from july 2012
Dearness Allowance – Vote
What would be the Dearness Allowance Percentage from July 2012 ?

dear sunil chaku DA would be 7% from july’2012. Those who think da will be 9% or govt. will anounce more than 7% are living in fools paradise as da is calculated as per the procedure laid down by govt. and same is applicable for other sectors like banking, insurance etc. So expecting da more than 7% is not possible.NO CORRECT NEWS???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Dear sir.Prem Singh
31st July.2012.O.K.
It is a wishful thinking to expect da more than it will be due. As per aicpin it may touch 7% and that’s it. Wait for 31st July, when aicpin will be out.
