DA Calculation Sheet

DA Calculation Sheet: The DA for Central Government Employees was earlier calculated based on the consumer price index with the base year 2001. The Central Government replaced it with a new consumer price index with the base year 2016 to calculate the DA from September 2020.

  1. The Govt. have now issued orders enhancing DA to 72% from 1-7-2012. The Govt. must consider the request of many Govt. employees/Pensioners to merge 50% D.A. with basic salary/Pension as was done previously.

    SThe cabinet approved 7% D.A. hike from July, 2012 on 24th Sep. 2012. But it seems no orders issued by GOI till date ? Generally any decision approved by cabinet must be acted upon within a maximum period of 48 hours ! Let us patiently wait …………

  6. The D.A. should be sanctioned in slab system viz. Those who are drawing a basic pay upto (i) Rs.20,000/-, (ii) Rs.20,001 to 50,000 & (iii) Rs.50,001 and above.. Category (i) may be sanctioned 10%, category (ii) 7% and category (iii) @ 5% as was done two decades before with marginal adjustments between slabs.

  8. The Central Government decision over Dearness Allowance from July, 2012 usually have to be taken by the Cabinet Committee, in First or second week of September. But it’s now third week of September. The GOI should announce D.A. from July, 2012 early

  10. Inflation is going very high @170% price rice in the market, but DA is very meagre i.e., 72% w.e.f. 1.7.2012 onwards. Govt. should make amendment and merge 50% DA with Basic pay, sympathetically.
    Even our constitution has been made amended several times, then why not our 6th CPC recommendations can be made amended by the Government of India. All the Central Govt employees associations should pressurise the govt., accordingly.

  11. I failed to understand as to why the DA w.e.f july 2012 has not been declared. Generally, the Gove. dechalre it during second week of August.

    is da realesed for july 2012..till date 13.9.2012—-no approved by the goverment july da for 7%.ok

The D.A.wef July.2012 is still to be declared by the Government.DA from January,2013 is expected to be declared during the month of April,2013.In view of current price hike in essential commodities, the Govt. should merge at least 50% DA with basic pay/pension at the time of declaration of DA wef July, 2012.

    da from jan;13 may be 8% let us keep our fingers crossed for 8%, but it is still too early to predict da from jan’13, it is mere gussing nothing else.8% ??????????????

    Regarding DA wef 1st January 2013, following is the factual position. 1.For 8% DA, the sum of AICPI from Jan 2012 to Dec. 2012 should be 2501 and for 9%, …?????????????????????????

  20. CENTRAL GOVERMENT EMPLAYES &PENSIONERS DA FOR JAN.2013.will be atleast 80%.Increase in DA is likely 8-9% by calculations.
