DA Calculation Sheet: The DA for Central Government Employees was earlier calculated based on the consumer price index with the base year 2001. The Central Government replaced it with a new consumer price index with the base year 2016 to calculate the DA from September 2020.

Dear Madam / Sir,
Greetings. The AICPI and DA calculation up to 31/03/2011 were published on 30/04/2011 itself. This is a timely upgradation which no others have did it. Once again I record sincere and wholehearted thanks to all concerned. Keep the same trend in future also. With kind regards. Yours sincerely, RAHUMATHULLA, P.S. Mobile Phone No. +91 9841 222 675
Dear Madam / Sir,
Greetings. The AICPI and DA Calculation up to 31/03/2011 under DA Calculation sheet shall be published on 30/04/2011 as it was done during the previous month. All will be much thankful for this prompt response. With kind regards, Yours sincerely, RAHUMATHULLA P S
RATE OF DA ANNOUNCED W.E.F. 01/01/2011 IS LOW TO THE EXPECTATION AND RATE OF INFLATION.
I have witnesses several comments in this columns about insufficiency of DA hikes. On the other hand, the more DA is granted, the more is recovered from us by way of Income Tax. The IT exemption announced by the Finance Minister this year is peanusts. It should have been two lakhs and individual savings ceiling should have been raised to two lakhs. then only the fruits of full DA hike can be enjoyed by one and all. There should some body worth representing our cause before the FM.
The wholesale price index, the most watched price gauge in the country jumped to 8.98% in March, 2011 from 8.31% in February. Kindly update the index upto March, 2011.
I agree with Mr. Krishnakumar’s comment and suggestion and request Union Leaders to kindly act.
Further to my comments, our union leaders should take stock of the present situation and represent in such a way that real figures to come out for DA calculation. They are silent and think that whatever it comes from Govt. is acceptable. They have a bounden duty to point out the errors in assessing the CPI before the Labour Bureau for statistics. At least this time let them act well before!!
At last 6% DA has been released. But reality does not reflect in the calculation of DA rates. Govt. is bent upon manipulating the figures. If calculation is done sincerely our DA must have been above 8%. At least for the next installment in July 2011 real figures should come out so that lakhs of employees shall benefit. After all DA is not anything addition to our income but it is the compensation of extra money doled out for price hike.
Kindly inform whether any provision under 6th c.p.c. is there for the pensioners when the DA/DR corsses 50% of basic pension. 25% of certain allowances to be increased on the above occassion is only for the Central Govt. employees. I will be eagerly awaiting for the response from any one of my friend. Thanks.
I request the Hon’ble Finance Minister, GOI and Governor of Reserve Bank of India to revise the interest rate for GPF A/cs & Public Provident Fund Accounts (PPF)for 2010-11 on par with EPF or atleast 9% p.a. immediately (the Govt. have recently announced 9.5% interest p.a. to EPF for 2010-11) Kindly take up this issue to Govt.of India for revision of interest rates to GPF/PPF Accounts immediately in view of the high inflation prevailing in the country and also erosion of money value.
Dear Madam / Sir,
Greetings. The AICPI and DA Calculation up to 28/02/2011 were published today (01/04/2011) as I suggested on 29/03/2011. Thanks a lot for this prompt response. With kind regards, Yours sincerely, RAHUMATHULLA P S

2. When DOP&T has OM dated 15.1.2008 for promotion on ad-hoc basis on stop gap arrangement.
3. Can I give petition to DOP&T directly to Deputy Secretary (CS-II)/ Public grievance cell incharge in DOP&T.
4. Mine Date of increment was before 6th CPC in January. But now after 6th CPC Annual increment met in july. Which is 6 month gap.
What concept should be adopt to me. please guide possitively and give to me splendeur advice for my best carrier from Administration unit of Ige Corner. Please reply soon for take next step by mine.
this is very bad for central / State goverment employee only 6% DA but i think so DA near about 8% to 10% because inflation is very high.what we are doing.
Dear Madam / Sir,
Your DA Calculation column is very much useful to all sections.
Kindly publish AICPI and DA Calculation up to 28/02/2011 at least on 31/03/2011. With kind regards,
Respected Sir/Madam,
I want to draw your kind attention some fact problems facing by Central government employees which are belows:-
1. DOP&T say in their OM order dated 15.1.2008 LDC can be promote on ad-hoc basis on approved/elegible service which is 8 years. DOP&T have stop gap arrangement order copy. Why DOP&T is not working toward this promotion in respect of LDC to UDC on ad-hoc basis. While in whole department/ministries have much more employees had completed 8 year service in the LD grade but still now they are also LDC. Is not anomaly wit CG Employees. Why DOP&T is delaying the matter.
2. Why DOP&T give pormotion on ad-hoc basis priority. why DOP&T not adopting Defence Ministry Cadre rules. They giving promotion on only regular basis.
3. When DOP&T given ad-hoc promotion and working style is same. And employees became regular after 4 and 5 year. CG Employees waste time in ad-hoc service period. DOP&T adopted only regular promotion or counting ad-hoc service as regular with effect from ad-hoc service time period.
Am i wrong sir/madam.
