DA Calculation Sheet: The DA for Central Government Employees was earlier calculated based on the consumer price index with the base year 2001. The Central Government replaced it with a new consumer price index with the base year 2016 to calculate the DA from September 2020.

  13. 6% DA is approved by cabinet w.e.f. 1..7.2015 for CG Employee and pensioners.

    As per latest indications, we are going to receive the next DA probably be calculated based on the 6th CPC recommendations only.

    If the present trend continues, we may get DA @ 5% as per 6th CPC from 1..1.2016 onwards for the CG Employees and Pensioners.

  14. The Govt. should issue simultaneous orders on D.A.& D.R. by linking both in one order by adding a para in one Memorandum duly marking a copy to concerned authorities as already represented to Government by Pensioners & Family Pensioners
