DA Calculation Sheet: The DA for Central Government Employees was earlier calculated based on the consumer price index with the base year 2001. The Central Government replaced it with a new consumer price index with the base year 2016 to calculate the DA from September 2020.

Grant of Dearness Allowance With effect from 1.7.2016 – NC JCM writes to the Finance Secretary? next all trade union nexallwa
The idea of creating Committees after Committees is to deny the benefits to pensioners/employees. .BJP Govt has far too much tended to believe that Special Committees and High Power Committees and SLPs are their main game.. On the whole, the present showdown [7th CPC] is totally WORST from the 10-years-cycles of the past 60 years. ….Credit goes to BJP Govt. The Committees could also be interpreted as a defensive move to delay or deny the benefits to employees/pensioners. This raises the question of whether MODI GOVT. can really be called Good Governance at all!!! On balance, MODI GOVT. did far more HARM than GOOD to its Employees and Pensioners in particular.!

Mr Satyamoorthy,
In Sen Times it was stated that due to FM’s Canada tour the DA announcement is being delayed ! minister returan to india or say world tour ???????????????????
NOTE!!Why the DA from July 2016 is not announced yet ?
All the Central Government Employees wonder why there is so much delay in announcing the DA from July 2016, the first instalment of Dearness Allowance in 7th CPC.
The silence of the Federations in the Dearness Allowance issue is not understandable. The way the present Government deal with the issues related to central government Employees is unacceptable. But it seems that the Staff Associations lost its vigour to fight with the Government to settle the genuine issues pertaining to Central Government Employees.
Already the fate of the Allowances is not known. To Everyone’s Surprise, the Government is not ready to say anything about Dearness Allowance, as there is none to ask them about why the DA has not been announced. If the Federation know the reason for the delay of announcing the DA from July 2016, they bound to tell the CG Staffs the reason behind the inordinate delay.
Whether it is 3% or 2% whatever it may be , but Dearness Allowance announcement should be made in time. The morale of the employee should not be let down. Because low morale can lead to poor cooperation, low productivity.
duplicate till no hike ??????????????
Central Government has a proposal to Pay 1% DA from July 2016 as an interim Measure
Central Government has a proposal to Pay 1% DA from July 2016 as an interim MeasureThe Sources Close to the Ministry of finance informed that there is proposal to Pay 1% DA from July as an interim Measure. It is said that the Central Government has not yet decided about the DA rates in Revised Pay scale.
Sources close to Finance Ministry told that the initial installment of DA to central government employees on the revised pay structure w.e.f 1.7.2016 is under consideration. Mean time there is a proposal to pay the DA from July 2016at the rate of 1% to all CG Staffs. It will be a shocking news for CG Staff, since they are already expecting 2 to 3% DA from July 2016.
PRU is asked to submit Financial Implication of 1% DA
But the fact is the Department of Expenditure has directed the PRU of the Finance Ministry to furnish the details of additional Financial Implications for 1% increase of DA with effect from 1.7.2016 on the revised Pay Structure.Further the Pay Research Unit has been requested to furnish financial implications for the Period of July 2016 to February 2017 on account of granting 1% DA from July 2016 to all central government employees including Armed Forces and UT Employees.
According to the above information, it is believed that announcement of 1% DA for July installment may be made any time soon.
