  1. AICPIN not declared since February 2024 bye labour bureau. Reasons thereof is not mentioned at its web. Everyone is silent on this issue means next increase of DA/DR is in vein. Will anybody aware thereof may please intimate.

  2. The CPI (IW) index for the month of February 2024 which was to be released on 29 March 2024 (Friday) being the last working day of March 2024 has not yet been released by the Labour Bureau. Calculations for July 2024 DA/DR can’t be in a sense of these indices.

  3. When 7th CPC was implemented, it said that there would be uniform percentage of 2.57 fitment factor for all levels of pay. But it was not to be. The fitment factor was 2.82 for pay Matrix level 11 and above. Still there is an anomaly. Also, HRA was not strictly implemented w.e.f. 01012016 by playing delayed tactics denying employees to get the actual HRA rates from the actual date of implementation. Further, 1 1/2 years freezing of DA. No change in standard deduction in IT. Now, constitution of eighth pay commission is in doldrums. It is high time employee federations start discuss the above issue(s) without any further delay. JAI HIND.

  4. Old people’s eligible amount pay then and there, also increse the minimum medical allowance from 1000 to 5000 asthma expenses of medical unaffordable to minimum pensioner.

  5. The CPI data for the Month of December 2023 is declared. The All-India CPI-IW for December, 2023 decreased by 0.3 points and stood at 138.8 (one hundred thirty eight point eight).

In view of the above , the expected DA will be 50%

  6. DA becomes 50 per cent from 1.1.2024 after release of AICPIN. Merger of B. Pension/ B. Pay + DA may take place after Parliamentary Elections since Election Code will be in force after one month. Govt had already announced that they don’t constitute 8th Pay Commission. As such the news appearing in YouTube channels frequently lacks credence.

  7. Why the DA calculator is not working. Please let me know. And the system may please be continued for Calculation of DA

  8. Expected DA wef 01Jan 2024 will be 4% as there is decline in Consumer Price Index in Sep 2023. Probably it will be 50% till 01 Jan 2024 and it will be merged with basic pension of central Government employee ie both for civilian and defense personnel.

  9. I EXPECT THAT DA/DR WILL BE APPLICABLE TO ALL CIVILIANS AND DEFENCE PERSONNELS FOR CENTRAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES FROM JANUARY 2024 WILL BE INCREASED BY ABOUT 4% FROM JANUARY 01012024.TOTAL DA/DR WILL BE 46% FROM JULY 01072023+4%FROM JANUARY 01012024=50%

    • Prior to implemntation of 7th pay commission, DA calculation formulae was= (The last 12 months annual average of AICPIN-115.76)/115.76X100. As 125% DA was merged while implementation of 7th pay commission, the number 115.76 was mulriplied by a factor 2.25 to make it 261.4. The new formulae became= (The last 12 months annual average of AICPIN-261.4)/261.4X100. This was as per AICPIN estimate with base year 2001=100.

Subsequently, AICPIN estimation methodology was revised with base year 2016=100 and AICPIN estimated by old method was divided by a factor of 2.88. Therefore, the current, DA calculation formulae was developed by dividing 261.4 by 2.88. Thus 261.4 was replaced with 261.4/2.88=90.76.

Now, applicable updated DA calculation formulae became as under:
Percentage DA= (The last 12 month annual average of AICPIN-90.76)/90.76X100.

For example, for calculation of DA wef from January 2024:

The last 12 month average AICPIN (from Jan 2023 to Dec 2024= 132.8+132.7+133.3+134.2+134.7+136.4+139.7+139.2+137.5+138.4+139.1+138.8)/12=1636.8/12=136.4

Percentage DA wef Jan 2024= (136.4-90.76)/90.76X100=45.64/90.76X100=0.5028X100=50.28
But the Government will take round figure and DA wef. Jan 2024 will be 50%, i.e. 4% increase.

  10. DA/DR FROM 01 JULY 2023 4% ( 01 JANUARY 2023 42 % +01 JULY 2023 4% ) TOTAL DA/DR FROM 01 JULY 2023 =42% +4%=46% APPLICABLE TO ALL CIVILIANS AND DEFENCE PERSONNELS FOR CENTRAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES FROM 01 JULY 2023

  11. EXPECTED DA/DR FROM JANUARY 01012024 5% ( JULY 01072023 46% + 01012024 5% ) TOTAL DA/DR FROM JANUARY 01012024 =46%+ 5% =51% APPLICABLE TO ALL CIVILIANS AND DEFENCE PERSONNELS FOR CENTRAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES FROM JANUARY 01012024
