Expected Dearness Allowance (DA) from July 2010 -> 10% ?
Today Labour Bureau, released AICPIN for the month of June 2010, we all are waiting for this index value for long time to calculate dearness allowance from July 2010 onwards.

Based on AICPIN index, here we calculated DA percentage from 1st July 2010 onwards
As per index value, % of increase for June 2010 is 45.06, so it will be 45% dearness allowance from July 2010 onwards for central government employees.
| How to calculate % of increase ?
Here is the simple formula for calculate increase percentage for AICPIN
=> DA = (Average of AICPIN for the past 12 months – 115.76)*100/115.76 |
Last time Dearness Allowance is 35% and this time will be 45%, so there is a chance for 10% increase in DA from July 2010 onwards.

When the Increase in DA from July 2010 will be declared????
Sir,
I am happy to see that the Ministry of Fiance is going to declare 10% DA with effect from 1st July, 2010 onwards. Since I am staying at Port Blair in Andaman & Niocbar Islands, here the cost of all essential commodities are in very higherside, due to distace factor. As such I am keenly awaiting for the abvoe annoucement.
Now a day’s the cost of living is very high,and the cost of essential commodities are in increasing trend,thus payment of 10% DA to the CG employee’s is not a surprising factor.However it is good to hear the formal announcement of the DA by the central cabinet.
Yes, this is very essential as employee who has join inbetn feb -june, they have to wait fof 16-17month for thire next increment,so additional increment betn. feb – june is very essention pl.

It was come to know that,in the IInd Anomoly meeting the Dept has given a green signal to grant one time increment by preponing the increment to Jan-06 for those who drawn their increment between Feb-06 to June-06.Kindly clarify about the latest development on the above matter early as I am one among those who drawn their increment between Feb-06 to June-06.
